Ram Mandir Ayodhya : A Divine Transformation and a Divine Invitation!

In the heart of Ayodhya, where history is as old as folklore and beliefs resonate through the air, a saga unfolds. The 2019 Supreme Court judgment, a modern-day epic, decreed that Ayodhya’s 2.77-acre patch of destiny would become home to the grand Ram Mandir. Across this patchwork of belief, another truth emerged: a 5-acre plot in Dhannipur would be a new canvas for the Babri Masjid.

Fast forward to January 22, and Ayodhya is brimming with anticipation. Our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, is set to grace the grand ‘Pran Pratishtha‘ event at the Ram Temple. The day promises to be more than a ceremony; it’s a dance of destiny. On this auspicious day, the divine idol of Lord Ram will find its home within the temple’s walls.

A Unifying Gesture Amidst Sacred Ceremonies

But, before we delve into the future, we look to the past – a past where harmony is not just a melody, but a timeless refrain. Ahead of Prime Minister Modi’s visit, our Muslim brethren have made a gentle yet profound request. They seek the honor of the Prime Minister laying the foundation stone for the new Babri Masjid. This gesture, embedded in respect and unity, echoes the spirit of the court’s verdict.

The Grand Path to Consecration

Notably, the three-storey Ram Mandir has already crossed its ground floor milestone. The masterful hands behind this architectural marvel have decided that the day of Makar Sankranti, January 14, will initiate the consecration of Ram Lalla. A spectacle that’s not to be missed, this auspicious day will mark the first step in a grand journey.

PM Modi’s Role in Consecration

And now, for the climax – the piece de resistance. On January 22, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the consecration of Lord Ram’s idol at the temple. The invitation extended by Shri Ram Janambhoomi Trust, along with its devoted members, has been graciously accepted by the Prime Minister. The date is inked in the annals of destiny; the ‘Pran Pratishtha‘ is set for January 22nd, 2024 and the nation waits with bated breath.

A Confluence of Devotion and Dignitaries

As we look forward to this grand event, the Trust plans a grand congregation. Over 4,000 Hindu religious leaders from 136 Sanatana traditions are set to grace the consecration ceremony, making it a tapestry of devotion. And the magnificence doesn’t stop there; over 25,000 dignitaries are expected to participate, creating an event that’s as colossal as it is divine.

Divine Design Unveiled: The Grand Ram Temple

Now, let’s sprinkle some divine facts, just to keep the intrigue alive.

The Ram Mandir, while rooted in ancient mythology, is reaching for the skies in modernity. Spread across 71 acres, this monumental site redefines the term ‘grand’. Within these sacred acres, the Ram Mandir, encompassing 2.77 acres, is divided into six parts. From the ‘garbh greh,’ the main sanctum sanctorum, to the five intricately designed pavilions – ‘gun mandap,’ ‘rang mandap,’ ‘nritya mandap,’ ‘kirtan mandap,’ and ‘prarthna mandap,’ this temple promises to be a wonder that spans the heavens and the earth. At a staggering height of 161 feet, with three floors, each 19.5 feet high, this is a divine marvel that defies the very laws of physics.

But there’s more – a whole divine neighborhood. Within this complex, a pantheon of gods finds their celestial abodes. Shiva, goddess Annapurna, Bhagwati, Ganesha, Hanuman, Surya – the Sun god, and many more will stand shoulder to shoulder in this sacred space. The temple’s devotion to mythology doesn’t stop here. Temples dedicated to mythological saints such as Valmiki, Vashisth, Viswamitra, Jatayu, and Sabri, are also planned. And as a nod to practicality, other facilities such as yagya and anusthan mandap, a rest house for religious leaders, and an administrative building will be woven into this divine tapestry.

This is no ordinary construction; it’s an engineering marvel. The Ram Mandir complex is built with the goal of ‘zero discharge.’ To achieve this, two sewage treatment plants are planned, ensuring treated water is used for flushing and irrigation, reducing the burden on the Municipal Corporation.

And then, the icing on the divine cake – the temple construction committee has secured an additional 71 acres of land. This space is earmarked for public utilities, ensuring the comfort and convenience of all the devotees who flock to this abode of divinity.

As we pen down this chapter in the ongoing tale of Ayodhya, there’s a sense of reverence and anticipation in the air. In the midst of history, faith, and grandeur, the Ram Mandir emerges, not just as a place of worship, but as a symbol of unity, harmony, and timeless devotion. A harmonious journey, from dispute to divinity, awaits us all.
